Trip Player

All data about trips and locations that you've created in Trip Player are stored on your iOS device only.

The app itself will only send your raw trips and/or location data to the outside world in these situations:


GPS coordinates for saved locations are sent to Apple Maps service for generating maps, flyovers and geocoding.

Although optional, if you choose to perform iCloud backup from within the app, Trip Player will send trips and locations data selected by you to Apple servers. Photos from the app are not sent to iCloud.
Use the ‘Restore from iCloud’ option to see or delete data stored on iCloud.


Refer to Apple's terms for privacy, data and data connection usage or any other matter of concern while using these services.

For each trip that you add to the app, the trip’s name and creation date/time are stored on your device.
For each location that you add to the app, the following data are stored on your device:

GPS coordinates with altitude,

horizontal/vertical accuracy,

creation date/time,

associated trip,

name, note and photo attached to the location (if any).

Apart from data created by you, Trip Player stores some configuration settings on your device. These settings are used to provide a better user experience by selecting the last options that you used in the app for:

map type (standard, satellite, hybrid)

flyover animation type (2D quick, 2D, 3D)

GPS coordinate format

metrics for distance (feet or meters)

current trip
